Breakfast anyone?

Sweet and crunchy sauteed onion were the hit for today's breakfast. Mixed together with sliced meat and mushrooms, delicious! This so simple and quick dish is made with no added sugars or processed foods. Sauteed with a tablespoon or so of extra virgin olive oil and seasoned with a dash of sea salt this morning's breakfast made for a great switch up from the scrambled eggs.

Olive oil has so many wonderful healthy benefits for our bodies including reducing the symptoms of, along with preventing the onset of, osteoporosis.

Onions contain a protective substance called, organosulfur compound, this works to prevent the growth of cancer cells. Onions also are loaded with flavonoids which have many health properties including reducing inflammation.

Mushroom's anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties are just a few of their healthy benefits.

Sea salt is the preferred salt. It comes from salt water evaporation and maintains all of it's minerals. Table salt on the other hand is mined from underground salt deposits, highly processed which eliminates all minerals, and it contains an additive to reduce clumping.

What do you think, would you try this for breakfast?
I hope you will, your body will thank you.

To your health,

  1. Looks yummy! I often have "dinner" things for breakfast --as even though eggs have great protein I don't find they stick with me as long as a hearty fry up like this.

  2. Looks yummy! We have been eating 'clean' for about 6 months now and it's awesome! Its so funny, I cook with onions a lot and just today I was wondering what sort of health benefits they had, then I read your post, so thank you for answering my question! :):):)

  3. That looks so delicious. I love to toss whole wheat pasta or quinoa with olive oil, garlic and sauteed mushrooms. It's a quick and easy dinner.

  4. i think I'll try it tomorrow, have all the ingredients, look delicious. thanks
